Low-profile, hassle-free security

Thirst, a creative and communications agency based in Hampshire UK, sought a simple, hassle-free yet effective solution that would boost security at key points on their premises.

With plenty of staff and many daily visitors, Thirst needed an easy retrofit solution suitable for different types of doors to keep meeting rooms and IT servers secure.

‏‏‎

Key requirements:

  • Simple, affordable interior door security that can manage a high volume of staff and visitors
  • Quickly lock and unlock rooms without mechanical keys
  • Easy retrofit solution for all types of door without the need of an external contractor
  • Fits aesthetically with Thirst’s sleek and contemporary workplace environmet

The solution

Just two screws and it’s ready

Fitting Code Handle was easy. Thirst’s office manager simply removed the existing door handles and replaced them with a Code Handle giving instant PIN-locked security. There were no extra wires to install.

No more replacing locks

Because locks open with RFID smart-cards, security is not compromised if someone loses a credential. The SMARTair Web Manager is accessible from any browser and a simple click cancels the credential — much quicker and less expensive than replacing a mechanical lock.

Crucially for ULab, SMARTair components complement the design aesthetic and capture the spirit of ULab.

We found Code Handle easy to install and a perfect solution for keeping private rooms only accessible for those employees that require access.
